Legendary because this gem has to be the highest concentration of amazing riding on the planet today over about 2,000 km. The Lowveld Legend route can be enjoyed all year round as South Africa’s winter is extremely mild in this area with temperatures staying warm and balmy during the day often into the upper 20 Celsius! Summers are warm to hot occasionally around the 40 Celsius mark.
Tours depart and return to Johannesburg. We ride out via the Highveld (highlands) plains before plunging down the mighty Northern Drakensburg Range and into the warm Lowveld (lowlands) where your week is spent exploring this land of myth and legend where transport riders hunted wild game on their trek when hauling mining supplies with ox wagons to the old Transvaal gold fields during the 1800s gold rush.
A rest day is encapsulated by a two night overnight bush stay mid tour with a rest day spent 'Big 5' Game viewing from the seat of an open safari vehicle into the famed Kruger National Park. Kruger is famous for thousands of species of indigenous African Wildlife in their natural habitat.

An evening sun-downers Game Drive into Kruger National Park will be an exiting adventure within the adventure.
The tour continues through the beautiful mountainous Kingdom of Swaziland, the worlds last ruling monarchy often referred to as Switzerland in Africa, you will spend a night in the Izulwini Valley.
After a ride from the North West to the South East of Swaziland its back into South Africa as you enter the Kingdom of the Zulu people, Zululand (Kwazulu Natal Province) travelling down to St Lucia Estuary. A full rest day in the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Greater St Lucia Wetlands National Park which will be the jewel in the centre of the tour and include a beach Braai (BBQ) and snorkeling in the rock-pools situated within the reserve. The Estuary is an unspoiled and extremely diverse ecosystem
Continuing through Zululand via the Eastern Coast and the Valley of a Thousand Hills Zululand you ride on to the spectacular Oribi Gorge a beautiful green Canyon which you will explore on foot for a few hours. Heading inland we then skirt the mighty Southern and Central Drakensburg (Dragons Mountains) with its quaint hamlets and villages on the Midlands Meander route before heading into the "Berg". Entering the breathtaking Golden Gate National Park with its unique sandstone crags you’ll spend two nights in the peaceful foothills of the Drakensburg mountains.These two night stay will be encapsulated by a ride into the mountain Kingdom of Lesotho right in to the heart of the Drakensburg or Maluti Mountains as it is called in Lesotho; heading up to Katse Dam. The dam is a massive engineering feat nestled in the "Berg".
